Excavator training goes ahead on a CASE 210 despite the poor weather conditions.
Let’s all pray for a dry spell soon!

Hi Simon,
Thanks for the enquiry.
What is you level of experience on the excavator?

Hi mark. I am after a price for excavator training. I am an HGV Driver from Newport Gwent and a total novice to any kind of plant machinery.

Hi John,
I have sent you a email with some course instruction.
As a novice operator I would recommend a minimum of a 10 day course, to give you some of the basic skills in excavator operation.
However if you are new to the industry you may find a dumper, dump truck, slinger/signaller, roller, tractor or tele handler course would be an easier (and possibly cheaper) route into the construction industry.
Only a suggestion.
Thanks again,

Paul,
Thanks for the enquiry.
If you can give me a better idea of your background/ experience on plant, then I’ll work out a training plan to get you back in the operators seat as soon as possible.
I’ve also sent you some details via email.

Hi Dominic,
Thanks for the enquiry.
You’ll need to come to my site in order to complete the assessments, where are you based?
I would recommend you complete the CPCS (A59A) technical test (above 10 tonnes), this will then cover you on all sizes of tracked excavator.
There is now also a lifting operations (A59C) endorsement for the 360, should you require it?
The first thing we’ll need to complete is the Health Safety and Environmental test for operatives, I will happily organise this on your behalf.
Are you a levy payer to the CITB? You may be eligible for grants if so!
I hope that helps? I have also sent some additional info via email.
Thanks.

Hi William,
Thanks for the enquiry.
I’m not sure how we can keep costs down if you have little experience on excavators?
However, can you give me an idea of the type of work that you have done on a 360?
To give you an idea of what’s involved with the test, please see the 360 video in my blog.
On average someone starting from scratch would need up to 10 days training to get up to test standard.
