ACOP have recently taken delivery of a Komatsu HD465 (55 tonne) rigid dump truck for training at our CPCS test centre in South Wales! We really hope that this helps serve both construction and quarrying industries within the UK.
Historically, it has proven challenging for operators outside the quarrying industry to train on Rigid Dump Trucks, especially as the CPCS A57C (All Sizes) category requires the Rigid Dump Truck to have a payload in excess of 50 tonnes. As you can appreciate there are many constraints on arranging access to such large items of plant machinery.
However, after months of planning and years of saving, we are proud to be the first CPCS test centre in the UK to have a Rigid Dump Truck dedicated for training and testing.
We will be offering short duration refresher training, experienced operator testing as well as intensive novice training at our South Wales training centre.

We tend to find that CPCS accreditation is the most popular.
Prior to attending any CPCS courses, you will need to pass the CITB Health Safety & Environment test for Operatives (unless you have already passed it within the last 2 years).
Our CPCS A56B Articulated Dumptruck course is 4 days in duration with a maximum of 2 candidates per course. Availability can be sought by contacting the office or looking at our courses calendar.

Yes, we offer both NPORS and CPCS training on Forward Tipping Dumpers from our training centre in south west Wales. We also offer tracked rigid dump trucks and wheeled articulated dump trucks.
