    We offer a 1 day course for experienced dumptruck operators to add the tracked dumptruck endorsement. There is a theory and practical CPCS test at the end of the day.

    I’m afraid not. The tracked dumptruck comes under the rigid dumptruck (A57) category and not the articulated dumptruck (A56). Thanks.

    thanks for getting in touch.

    If it’s the articulated dumptruck ticket you hold (A56), or forward tipping dumper (A09), then yes there is a separate theory test (A57) that you’ll need to sit. However, if you hold the rigid dumptruck category (A57) already, then you won’t need to sit another theory.

    The theory papers can be found here – you’ll see that the questions to all the dumpers are actually very similar.

    If you hold an NVQ on the dumper, then the dumptruck (tracked/ wheeled) will also go straight to blue upon achievement of the CPCS technical test. I’ll send you and email with prices etc.

    Stevie, not a problem – we have a tracked dumptruck at our yard. However the category is classed as Tracked Rigid Dumptruck under CPCS (A57D) – there is no tracked ADT category. I have sent you an email. Thanks. Team ACOP

    To be honest we’ve never been asked to test on the forward tipping tracked dumper as they tend to be used mainly on small domestic building jobs and not the major construction sites. Although, if you’d still like a price I can look into it for you?

    Also, if you have already done an NVQ in either the ADT or FTD, then the tracked dumper would automatically go to blue card, upon successful completion of the CPCS technical test.

    If you have an NVQ on a FTD, then this category should go straight on to a blue card upon achievement. We will just need a copy of the NVQ certificate for the application process.

    If you have experience on a dumper then a 1 day tracked dumptruck course should be sufficient.

    If you have an NVQ for the forward tipping dumper, your tracked dumptruck should also go to blue.

    If you have the forward tipping dumper on a blue card, you will need to sit the CITB HS&E operatives test plus the RT09 renewal module,

    If you have a log book up to date there’ll be no need for an on site assessment. If not, we can happily arrange an assessment.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    If you already hold the Tracked dumper on a CPCS Blue card, you will need to sit the RT56 renewal module test in order to renew it.

    You may also need to sit the HS&E Operatives test if you haven’t sat it within the last 2 years.

    Once you’ve passed both tests, you will then need to submit a renewal form to CPCS.
