CPCS (Trained) Red Card

To achieve a CPCS Red card you must;

  • Pass the HS&E (Health, Safety & Environmental) test.
  • Comple any training necessary to bring you up to industry standard.
  • Achieve the CPCS Technical test at an accredited CPCS test centre.
  • Once a red card has been achieved, you have two years to gain enough experience to complete an NVQ/SVQ in plant or lifting operations and gain your blue (experienced worker) card.

If your red card has expired for over 12 months, you will have to start over. However, you will not receive a second red card and will have to proceed directly to blue. In doing so, you must complete all steps noted above and below.
