SUMMARY:Tracked 360 Excavator training - novice course (January/ February 2025) CPCS
DESCRIPTION:An eleven day CPCS tracked 360 excavator course (A59A). \nSpaces are limited to 2 delegates. \nThis is a full foundation course designed for novice operators. \nThe course runs across 11 consecutive week days with a CPCS technical test on the final (11th) day. \nThe aim of this course is to provide candidates with practical and theoretical knowledge to help undertake the excavator operator. This qualification covers 360 excavators. \nThrough a combination of targeted training and experience\, an individual with the 360 excavator will be able to accomplish the following. \n360 Excavator training course content\n\nRoles and responsibilities\n• Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator\nPreparing for work\n• Name and explain the purpose of principal components\, the basic construction\, controls and terminology\n• Conform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s manual\, other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation\n• Undertake all pre-use checks \nTravelling and manoeuvring your 360 excavator\n• Configure and set for travel (site and highway – where applicable)\n• Travel over rough\, undulating ground\, substantial inclines and level surfaces\n• Manoeuvre in confined spaces \nSetting up for work with the 360 excavator\n\n• Configure and set for excavating duties\n• Explain actions required for hazards\, underground and overhead services \nWorking tasks on the 360 excavator\n• Excavate differing types of excavations in various types of ground\n• Place materials into transporting vehicles and hoppers\n• Grade\, spread and level ground and materials\n• Attach and remove buckets\n• Lift\, move and place a variety of slung loads (Endorsement C)\n• Travel with slung loads (Endorsement C) \nShutting down\n\n• Carry out shut down and securing procedures\n• Explain the loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting \n  \nFor your reference you can download the relevant questions for the theory test. \nACOP Group is accredited by both CPCS and NPORS.
