DESCRIPTION:We are running a 5 day CPCS loading shovel course (A21). Maximum of 2 learners. \nThe aim of this course is to provide candidates with practical and theoretical knowledge to help undertake the role of a loading shovel operator. \nThrough a combination of targeted training and experience\, an individual with the wheeled loading shovel will be able to: \nLoading shovel training course content\n\nRoles and responsibilities\n\nDescribe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator\n\nPreparing for work\n\nName and explain the purpose of principal components\, the basic construction\, controls and terminology\nConform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook\, other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation\nUndertake all pre-use checks\n\nTravelling and manoeuvring the loading shovel\n\nConfigure and set for site and highway travel\nTravel over rough\, undulating ground\, substantial inclines and level surfaces; laden and unladen\nManoeuvre in confined spaces\n\nSetting up for work\n\nConfigure and set for extraction and loading duties\nExplain actions required for hazards\, underground and overhead services\n\nWorking tasks on the loading shovel\n\nExtract differing types of materials from stockpiles and other sources\nForm stockpiles of segregated materials and construct (temporary) ramps\nSort and place materials into transporting vehicles and hoppers\nSpread and level ground and materials\n\nShutting down\n\nCarry out shut down and securing procedures\nExplain the loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting\n\n\nFor your reference you can download the relevant questions for the theory test. \nACOP Group is accredited by both CPCS and NPORS.
