DESCRIPTION:A three day CPCS ride on roller training course (A31). Maximum of 3 learners. \nThis is a course designed for novice operators. \nDiscount available if course is in combination with a forward tipping dumper over 5 days. \nThe aim of this course is to provide candidates with practical and theoretical knowledge to help undertake the role of a roller operator. This qualification covers ride-on rollers. \nThrough a combination of targeted training and experience\, an individual with the Ride on Roller will be able to accomplish the following. \nRide on roller training course content\n\nRoles and responsibilities\n\nDescribe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator\n\nPreparing for work with the ride on roller\n\nName and explain the purpose of principal components\, the basic construction\, controls and terminology\nConform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook\, other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation\nUndertake all pre-use and running checks\n\nTravelling and manoeuvring your ride on roller\n\nConfigure and set for site travel\nTravel over rough\, undulating ground\, substantial inclines and level surfaces\nManoeuvre in confined spaces\n\nSetting up for work\n\nConfigure and set for compacting duties\nExplain actions required for hazards\, underground and overhead services\n\nWorking tasks on the ride on roller\n\nCompact loose granular materials to specification\nCompact in straight lines and around radii\nCompact supported and unsupported edges\nExplain the principles\, requirements and techniques of good compaction\n\nShutting down\n\nCarry out shut down and securing procedures\nExplain the loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting\n\n\nFor your reference you can download the relevant questions for the theory test. \nACOP Group is accredited by both CPCS and NPORS.
